How PTO Gives Back
Hope Rising Haiti
Julie’s husband, Tom, comes from a family with deep roots in Haiti, where they spent generations exporting coffee and importing goods to support local communities. A trip there as a teenager opened Tom’s eyes to the country’s overwhelming poverty and left a lasting impression.
Years later, through a friendship with Blake and Marcy LaMunyon, Tom was introduced to Hope Rising Haiti—a ministry dedicated to transforming lives by funding wells for clean water, rebuilding homes and churches, and equipping communities with the tools and training for long-term sustainability. Witnessing their work firsthand confirmed the powerful impact of their mission.
Picture This Organized is proud to support this important ministry as it helps meet the basic needs of the Haitian people and brings hope to those in rural communities.
Manna Resource Center
Poverty, homelessness, and mental health challenges are real and growing issues in Douglas County. With 33,000 residents struggling to afford housing and 20% of Coloradans facing mental health conditions, many in our community are at risk.
Manna Resource Center exists to provide holistic care, support, and empowerment to individuals and families through programs focused on self-sufficiency, wellness, and family development. Since launching Manna Connect in 2018, the organization has helped over 100 individuals graduate with stronger career and life skills.
Beyond direct aid, the Manna Resource Center plays a vital role in preventing child abuse and neglect by working with partners like the Douglas County Department of Human Services and the Collaborative Management Program. By reducing the stigma around behavioral health and building a stronger, healthier community, Manna Resource Center ensures that every neighbor has a chance to thrive.
